Happy Easter, everyone! If you’re looking for a fun egg decorating idea, check out how I jazzed mine up using gold leaf! My Metal Leaf Adhesive Pen came in super handy for this project and I think they turned out pretty darn cute! Here’s how I did it:
Once your colored eggs are completely dry, shake your adhesive pen a good bit and then get creative! Draw shapes, textures, phases.. whatever you want all around the egg. When you’re finished, allow it all the dry for about 5 or 10 minutes before applying your gold leaf.
With a gold leaf sheet, apply it over your design until each part is covered. This step can be a little messy, so you may want to have a newspaper or large poster board underneath to reuse what falls off.
Use a small soft brush to remove any access leaf from your egg.
All done — such an easy DIY, and look how pretty! I chose different shapes and textures for mine and I love the imperfections on each one. Thank you for reading this quick tutorial, I hope you all have a lovely Easter weekend!
